Note: Zero cross signals, generated from an ac power supply, are used to generate a trigger pulses to control the applied power accurately. |

Description: | Duplex unit communicatio n error While the BCU communicates with an optional unit, an SC code is displayed if one of following conditions occurs. 1. The BCU receives a signal which is generated by the peripherals only just after the main switch is turned on. 2. When the BCU does not receive an OK signal from a peripheral 100ms after sending a command to it. The BCU resends the command. The BCU does not receive an OK signal after sending the command 3 times. |

Remedy: | 1. Turn the main switch off and on. 2. Check if the cable of the duplex inverter unit is properly connected. 3. Replace the PSU if no power is supplied to the peripherals. 4. Replace the duplex control board in the inverter unit. |

Description: | VBCU-DTMB (DMC1) communication error Communication between the VBCU and DMC (main) was interrupted. An ACK/NAK signal was not received within 100 ms after a data frame was sent and three retries failed. |
Causes: | • Check the DTMB harness connections at the DTMB and VBCU • DTMB defective • PSU defective • VBCU defective • 5V power supply defective |
Remedy: | 1. Check the connector of the optical-fiber cable is properly set on the FPU main board and main control board or check if it is damaged. 2. Replace the FPU main board. 3. Replace the scanner IPU board. |

Description: | Finisher lower transport motor error. No encoder pulse signal is detected for the transport motor within the prescribed time. The 1st failure issues an original jam message, and the 2nd failure issues this SC code. |

Description: | Finisher jogger motor error. The jogger fences move out of the home position but the HP sensor output does not change within the specified number of pulses. The 1st failure issues an original jam message, and the 2nd failure issues this SC code. |

Remedy: | Check if the SC occurs by opening/closing covers, and input/output check. If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each step. • The target parts are the motor and related HP sensor for which the SC occurred. 1. Check if the connector of the target part is connected securely. Reconnect the connector if it is disconnected, or loose. 2. Check the harness for the target part. Replace the harness if it is damaged. 3. Check if the motor runs, is properly driven, has no overloads, and the sensors turn OFF/ON correctly.Replace the parts if there are any defects. 4. Check if there are any signs of a short circuit. Replace the parts if there are any defects. |
