Causes: | • CIS is defective. • MPU is defective. • Power/signal harness is defective. • Scanner unit condensation • CIS is not set properly, or is dirty. • The white plate is not set properly, or is dirty. |
Remedy: | Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each step. 1. Clean the white guide plate. 2. Reset/clean the CIS and white plate in the scanner. 3. Replace the units in the following order: • Original front side CIS • Engine board • PSU/Signal harness |

Description: | Lamp Error (Detecting the lighting error) The white level peak did not reach the prescribed threshold when the white guide plate was scanned. Error detection timing; During the scanner adjustment (detecting the lighting error) at the time of applying power source for scanner (when the main power is turned ON). |

Reconnect the connector. Reconnect the following connectors; • Scanner Carriage – BiCU connector • SBU – LEDB connector (SBU side connector on the scanner carriage) • BiCU – IOB harness 2. Check the white guide plate (exposure glass). Check the white guide plate attached to the exposure glass. If the white guide plate is in an unusual state, replace the white guide plate. 3. Causes: | This SC is issued if the BICU detects a short in the power pack 10 times consecutively. Open circuit (+) / Short circuit (-) |
Remedy: | • High voltage power supply • BICU defective • OPC unit defective 1. Disconnect the high voltage cable from Terminal C of the multiple highvoltage supply board. 2. Attach a voltmeter to the terminal. 3. If resistance is nearly "0", check the highvoltage harness for defects and replace it if necessary. 4. Test the conductivity between the OPC unit and the ground. If there is no conductivity between the OPC unit and ground, replace the OPC unit. 5. If there is no charge PWM signal, replace the harness and/or BICU. |

Description: | Toner Supply Error (K) • Amount of toner on the ID sensor pattern printed and read between sheets less than 0.100 (SP3300-1). • Accumulated toner clutch ON time in the K sub hopper of the toner supply unit greater than 5000 (SP3301-41) |
Causes: | A small rectangular wire attached to the shaft of an augur in each toner supply unit scrapes the surface of the toner end sensor with each rotation of the augur. The cleaning wire may be bent or the toner end sensor is defective. If the toner end sensor is damaged or out of position, the toner end sensor will cease to function normally. |
Remedy: | • Replace the affected toner supply unit. |

Remedy: | Procedure 1 If the machine shows SC codes for HDD errors (SC860 ~ SC865) with SC 925, do the recovery procedures for SC860 ~ SC865. Procedure 2 If the machine does not show one of the five HDD errors (SC860 ~ SC865), turn the machine power OFF and ON. If this is not the solution for the problem, then initialize the NetFile partition on the HDD with SP5832-011 (HDD Formatting). NetFiles: Jobs printed from the document server using a PC and DeskTopBinder • Before you initialize the NetFile partition on the HDD, tell the customer that: • Received faxes on the delivery server will be erased • All captured documents will be erased • DeskTopBinder job history will be erased • Documents on the document server, and scanned documents, will not be erased. • The first time that the network gets access to the machine, the management information must be configured again (this will use a lot of time). Before you initialize the Netfile partition with SP5832-011, do these steps: 1. Go into the User Tools mode and do “Delivery Settings” to print all received fax documents that are scheduled for delivery. Then erase them. 2. In the User Tools mode, do Document Management> Batch Delete Transfer Documents. 3. Do SP5832-011, then turn the machine power OFF and ON. Procedure 3 If “Procedure 2” is not the solution for the problem, do SP5832-001 (HDD Formatting – All), then turn the machine power OFF and ON. SP5832-001 erases all document and address book data on the hard disks. Ask the customer before you do this SP code.
