Remedy:	Is the main motor working? NO 1. Check if the connector CN1 of the main motor is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector J313 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open-circutied. 4. Check if the conductor patterns on the main motor board and LGC board are short- or open-circuited. 5. Replace the main motor. 6. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the LED on the main motor board lit without flickering? NO 1. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open-circuited. 2. Check if the conductor patterns on the main motor board and LGC board are short- or open-circuited. 3. Replace the main motor. 4. Replace the LGC board. YES 1. Check if the PLL lock signal J313-11 output from the LGC board is always level “L”? 2. Check if the voltage supplied to the microcomputer input terminal IC10-7 is always “L”? 3. Replace the LGC board.

Description:	Abnormal feed motor
Causes:	402 Paper detection sensor is OFF (not detecting paper).
Remedy:	Is the PFP motor working? (Perform the output check in the test mode: 03-125/175) NO 1. Check if the signal line connector of the feed motor is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector J327 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open-circuited. 4. Check if the conductor patterns on the feed motor board and LGC board are short- or open circuited. 5. Replace the feed motor. 6. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the LED on the feed motor board lit without flashing? NO 1. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open-circuited. 2. Check if the conductor patterns on the feed motor board and LGC board are short- or open-circuited. 3. Replace the feed motor. 4. Replace the LGC board. YES Replace the LGC board.

Description:	Feed motor rotation abnormal
Causes:	859 No paper in Tray No.1
Remedy:	Is the paper feed motor rotating properly? N: 1. Check if the connector J41 of the paper feed motor is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector J109 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector J703 of the switching power supply is disconnected. 4. Check if the harness between the LGC board and the paper feed motor is open-circuited. 5. Check if the harness between the switching power supply and the paper feed motor is open-circuited. 6. Check if any harness is open-circuited or any connector pin is disconnected. 7. Rotate the motor manually, clockwise as seen from its back, and if the motor load is abnormal, remove any foreign matter from the drive unit. 8. Replace the paper feed motor. 9. Replace the LGC board. Y: Are the pins A6 and A10 of the connector J109 on the LGC board always at the level "L"? N: 1. Check if the connector J41 of the paper feed motor is disconnected. 2. Is the cassette tray-up limit sensor connector, cassette tray-up motor connector, or connector J106 on the LGC board disconnected? Y: 1. Reconnect the connector. 2. Replace the harness. N: Is the gear of the cassette tray-up motor unit broken? Y: Replace the gear. N: 1. Replace the cassette tray-up motor. 2. Replace the cassette tray-up limit sensor. 3. N: Are the switches and sensors in the LCF unit working properly? Y: 1. Replace the LCF tray motor. 2. Replace the LGC board. N: 1. Replace the sensors and switches. 2. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited. 5. Check if the conductor patterns on the MAIN board are short circuited or open circuited. 6. Replace the CIS home position sensor. 7. Replace the MAIN board. No 2 2 Is there any abnormal sound when the CIS case is moving? Yes 1. Description:	Peak detection error
Remedy:	Does the exposure lamp light? (Perform the output check in the test mode: 03-267) YES 1. Check if the connectors on the CCD and SLG boards are disconnected. 2. Check if the shading correction plate is dirty. 3. Check if the conductor pattern on the CCD board is short- or open-circuited. 4. Check if the conductor pattern on the SLG board is short- or open-circuited. 5. Replace the lens unit. 6. Replace the SLG board. NO 1. Check if the connectors of the exposure lamp and inverter are disconnected. 2. Check the SLG board if the connector pin J9 is disconnected and the harness is short- or opencircuited. 3. Check if the conductor pattern on the SLG board is short- or open-circuited. 4. Replace the SLG board. 5. Replace the inverter. 6. Replace the exposure lamp.

Description:	Auto-toner error (K)
Causes:	• During the Original scanning, if the Original IN sensor keeps detecting Original (sensor light reflected) and does not stop detecting within 4945 pulses after the Read pulse motor activates.
Remedy:	Is the harness between the LGC board and the EPU drawer connector open-circuited? Is any harness inside the EPU or the auto-toner sensor harness open-circuited? Is the auto-toner sensor connector or the connector J120 on the LGC board disconnected? Y: Reconnect the connector. Replace the harness. N: 1. Replace the auto-toner sensor. 2. Replace the LGC board.

Description:	Thermistor or heater abnormal when warming-up is started
Causes:	MAIN board Switching regulator
Remedy:	1. Checking the thermistors (1) Is any thermistor connector disconnected? (2) Are the thermistors (upper/lower, center/rear) in proper contact with the upper and lower heat rollers? (3) Are the harnesses for the thermistors (upper/lower, center/rear) open-circuited? 2. Checking the heater lamps and SSRs (1) Check if the upper or lower heater lamp is open-circuited. (2) Check if the upper or lower heater lamp connector is disconnected. (3) Check if the thermostat is blown out. (4) Check if the upper heat roller or lower heat roller SSR connector is disconnected. (5) Check if the AC harness is open-circuited. (6) Check if SSR or the switching power supply is broken. 3. Checking the LGC board (1) Check the LGC board if the connector J123 is disconnected. (2) Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is open- or short-circuited. (3) Replace the LGC board. 4. Clearing the status counter After completing the repair of what caused the error, proceed to do the following: (1) While pressing [0] and [8] simultaneously, turn ON the power. (2) Enter [700] with digital keys, then press the [START] key. (3) Rewrite the status counter to "0", then press the [SET] or [INTERRUPT] key. The status counter is dispalyed as follows: [C41]: "1" or "2" [C42]: "6" [C43]: "4" [C44]: "5" [C46]: "7" [C47]: "8" [C48]: "9" (4) Turn OFF the power and then back it ON again, and make sure that the copier gets ready normally.

Causes:	MAIN board Switching regulator
Remedy:	1. Check the side thermistor (1) Check if the connector is disconnected. (2) Check if the side thermistor is in contact with the surface of the fuser roller properly. (3) Check if the harness of the side thermistor is open-circuited. 2. Check the LGC board (1) Check if the connector J334 is disconnected. (2) Check if the conductor pattern on the board is short- or open-circuited. (3) Replace the LGC board. 3. Clear the status counter Change the current status counter value (08-400) “6” to “0”.

Description:	Communication error between main CPU and PFC
Causes:	• If the ADF unit set sensor does not detect the ADF unit.
Remedy:	(1) Check if the conductor pattern around IC57 and IC58 is not short- or open-circuited. (2) Replace the LGC board.

Error code:	C57
Description:	Communications error between LGC-CPU and IPC board
Remedy:	(1) Check if any conductor pattern on the LGC board, mainly around IC23, IC72, IC74 and J125, is short- or open-circuited. (2) Check if the conductor pattern on the IPC board is short- or open-circuited. (3) Replace the IPC board. (4) Replace the LGC board.

Error code:	C58
Description:	Communication error between IPC board and finisher
Causes:	• If the actuator of the Master making unit set switch is not depressed.
Remedy:	Is a specified finisher used? Replace to the specified finisher. Is the harness between the IPC board and finisher control board open-circuited? Replace the harness. Is the conductor pattern on the IPC board is short- or open-circuited? Replace the IPC board. Replace the finisher control board.

Error code:	C71
Description:	ADF feed motor is abnormal
Remedy:	(1) Check if the load on the motor shaft is normal. (2) Check the mechanical load and adjust the drive system. Remove foreign objects. (3) Check if the power is supplied to connector CN11 of the motor. (4) Check the circuits and connectors on the ADF control board, mainly IC6, Q19, Q20, Q21, Q22 and CN11, for short- and open-circuits. (5) Replace the ADF control board. (6) Replace the ADF feed motor.

Error code:	C73
Description:	EEPROM initializing error
Remedy:	1. Check if any conductor pattern on the RADF PC board is open- or short-circuited mainly around IC7. 2. Replace the RADF PC board. 3. Initialize the RADF`s EEPROM and perform the sensor automatic adjustment.

Error code:	C74
Description:	Paper exit sensor automatic adjustment error
Remedy:	1. Check if any foreign matter is present between the exit sensor and the reflecting mirror, and if the reflecting mirror is stained. 2. Check if the harness between the exit sensor and the RADF PC board is open-circuited. 3. Check if any conductor pattern on the RADF PC board is open- or short-circuited mainly around IC1, IC14 and CN8. 4. Replace the exit sensor. 5. Replace the RADF PC board. 6. Initialize the RADF`s EEPROM and perform the sensor automatic adjustment.

Description:	Transport motor trouble
Remedy:	[Procedure 1] Is the No.2 transport motor (M8) operating in reverse at the fixed timing? No Replace the transport motor or finisher controller board. Yes Is the shutter correctly coupled to the shutter upper/lower bars? No Correctly couple. Yes Try turning transport roller 2 in reverse by hand. Do the shutter upper/lower bars move up and down? No Correct the mechanism from the shutter upper/lower bars up to the gears of transport roller 2. Yes Is the shutter close detection switch (MS4) normal? No Replace the switch. Yes Replace the finisher controller board. [Procedure 2] Is the No.2 transport motor (M8) operating in reverse at the fixed timing? No Replace the transport motor or finisher controller board. Yes Is the shutter correctly coupled to the shutter upper/lower bars? No Correctly couple. Yes Try turning transport roller 2 in reverse by hand. Do the shutter upper/lower bars move up and down? No Correct the mechanism from the shutter upper/lower bars up to the gears of transport roller 2. Yes Is the shutter open sensor (PI5) normal? No Replace the sensor. Yes Replace the finisher controller board.

Remedy:	1. Check if the connectors are disconnected or the harnesses are open-circuited between the SCM board and RADF PC board (includig the relay connector). 2. Replace the RADF PC board. 3. Replace the SCM board.

Description:	Original length sensor adjustment error
Remedy:	Is there any extraneous material between the original length sensor and reflective mirror? Remove the extraneous material. Is the reflective mirror tainted? Clean up the mirror. Is the conductor pattern around IC6, IC11 and CN15 on the ADF board short- or open-circuited? 1. Replace the ADF board. 2. Perform the EEPROM initialization of RADF, sensor automatical adjustment and tray width sensor adjustment. 1. Replace the original length sensor. 2. Perform the EEPROM initialization of RADF, sensor automatical adjustment and tray width sensor adjustment.

Description:	SRAM abnormality (Lithium battery or SRAM chip are abnormal.)

Description:	Power supply unit fan motor abnormality

Remedy:	Check the High-voltage transformer. 1. Is the main charger installed securely? 2. Check if the spring of high-voltage supply contact point is deformed. 3. Check if the needle electrode is broken or the main charger grid is deformed. 4. Check if any foreign matters is on the needle electrode or the main charger grid. 5. Is the transfer/separation charger installed securely? 6. Check if the transfer/separation charger wire is broken or unhooked. 7. Check if any foreign matter is on the transfer/separation charger wire.
